That quote embodies the essence of photography for me. The idea of capturing that moment, that facial expression, that play of light, a once-in-a-lifetime type of moment, that fascinates me. I have my camera with me all the time. So much of photography is timing. Being in the right place at the right time.

The historical buildings and sights of New England have always provided the picture-taking enthusiast with such a vast array of beautiful photoscapes. A unique and wonderful photograph should be preserved and displayed for enjoyment. This area that is so rich in its variation, seashore, mountains, marshlands, woods! Living here for nearly twenty years as a photographer, I had all these gorgeous images I had photographed and displayed in my own home or had given as gifts. For all these scenes I have treasured, I have always sought a unique venue in which I can reproduce them and share them with others.

As so...the birth of Burnsbright Photoshades! Photographic lampshades are a perfect, decorative and unique way to do just that. Being produced as black & white lampshades, the images come alive again as the soft light filters through the scene, highlighting and transforming the photo.

In addition to the varied selection of photographic lampshades I offer, customers also have the opportunity to personalize their shades, perhaps using a treasured photograph of their own. An antique photo of beloved grandparents or parents, a meaningful place or event captured — weddings, first communions, graduations — the possibilities are endless!
